Laptop or Desktop Confusion? Top Consumer Advisor Show

Are you confused and frustrated not knowing who to buy? A cheap desktop PC or a great value laptop? Well, let me offer you my thoughts on the difference between a laptop and a desktop computer.

My goal is to make it easy for you to make the right choice and buy a computer to be proud of.

There are many different factors that should be considered with regard to the purchase.

Let's look at this further:

Portability – It does not take rocket scientist to work to buy a laptop will give you more mobility. The laptop is very portable. Maybe the better question is to ask yourself … where are you going to use this computer? Will you be at home building or would you have to take it from your home. Would it be an option to take it from home? Personally, I always choose a laptop. Why? Because it gives me more flexibility in the work environment and it's fun to work in the park this summer! So for portability laptop is preferred.

Maybe you're not fussed where you'll find the computer. If this is the case and happy sitting in the same dining room in the same room, then the desktop computer is selected for you.

Hardware – There was a huge difference in hardware between desktop and laptop. A few years ago, if you wanted a powerful computer, you never spoke a laptop. These days, technology becomes more powerful and less so that there is not much difference. The only difference is the size of the disk. For me, this is not really a computer system where laptops usually have more than enough space to meet my needs.

Desktop PC is great for great processing. If you are passionate about your music, your video, photography or games, you may want to take advantage of the larger storage space of your desktop.

The great thing about desktop is that you have plenty of room to upgrade things.

You may add an external storage to your laptop, but this will prevent it from being able to carry it.

Processing Capabilities – If you're dying hard game then desktop is the only real answer. Many games place a huge burden on computer performance. With a desktop, you can always update your graphics card, something you can't do with a laptop.

So if you can't live without the games and you want to be able to play them effortlessly in the next few years, I recommend a desktop computer with the support of a hot graphics card installed. Since companies aim to limit software, they place more demands on their hardware to support it. Technology becomes smaller and even more powerful.

Cost – Laptop computers usually cost more than the corresponding specific desktop server. Laptops come with other external periphers such as built in mouse screen and keyboard.

Ok let's summarize:

Laptops are great for portability and for traveling. So if portability is important you really have no choice but to go with a laptop.

If you don't mind working on your computer in one place, ask yourself if you want to play games. If gaming is something you are more likely to do then desktop is the choice for you.
