Helping your children with school

The school can be a place for stress, even for the little ones who seem excited about the first day of school. This is because the school has become an environment where all sorts of issues come into play: Am I good enough? Do Children Like Me? Is the teacher like me? Why am I explaining?

What is school stress?

Child in kindergarten may be worried about getting wet at school. The first ladder can fear going to the bus and the third ladder can have nightmares for a caller home.

These are all genuine fears that can occur in different ways such as irritability, sleep problems, headache, stomach pain, moodiness, depression, even urination.

How can you help?

Because of stress is the reality of life, it is necessary that you allow your child to see it as an opportunity for growth, to develop a "life" muscle. Help your child understand that stress should not be avoided; stress can teach him new things about himself because stress can be controlled. Allow your child to understand the distinction between avoiding stress and managing stress.

Give your children the opportunity to learn what drives stress.

1. Encourage your child to exercise deep breathing when overwhelmed. Deep breathing produces a quiescent state that can alter its perception of stressful events.

2. Exercise and exercise. Much of the research shows a direct correlation between movement and creation. Giving your child the opportunity for necessary physical action such as running, basketball or tennis can deliver neurological changes in the brain that suppress anxiety and depression.

3. Feed Your Baby Brain Food. Sufficient evidence shows that omega-3 fatty acids are essential for emotional and mental stability. Studies suggest that children with mood disorders and behavioral problems often have imbalances in amino acids and omega-3 fats. Salmon, blueberries and nuts are the best sources of omega-3.

4. Spend the fun with your baby as often as possible. Half an hour sharing jokes or watching funny cartoons and videos is the best antidote for stress.

5. Show your child how to manage time wisely. If testing is a concern, then it can be controlled by pre-assembly. Show the child how to learn for exams in advance can silence the anxious animal. A stranger, on the other hand, gives the beast.

6. Help your child develop proper sleep habits that include the following – brushing teeth, reading in bed, prayer and lights. Coordinated and steady bedtime judgment allows the body to relax before bed.

7. Be positive and encouraging at all times. Comments like "I told you" can be defeated. Research shows that the focus on positive and undesirable behavior rejoices over brain changes that reinforce this behavior. Similarly, repetitive references to negative behavior will accurately reflect what you do not want.

Above all, remember that school stress is both an opportunity to learn about stress management in the real world and opportunities for you and your child to connect with each other.
