Exploring America – History curriculum for high school high school

Finding a good education program for high school was one of the biggest challenges I faced when I was a home school. It seemed like most good story books stop in battle or World War II. What about modern history? It is difficult to find a history book from a Christian perspective on modern history. Have you encountered this problem as well? This difficulty level has been improved by the elementary school from the Notgrass Company. Exploring America by Ray Notgrass is an amazing curriculum that is exciting and educational. It starts with Christopher Columbus and ends at this moment. Each day is broken up into short, detailed lessons.

Sometimes, story books seem to make exciting events sound like nothing but boring facts. Mr. Notgrass has an interesting writing style that makes events happen. There are also daily tasks that encourage students to dig deeper. Sometimes, they will read a document, speech or hymn from American Voices which is a 400+ page book attached to the curriculum. In other respects, they will look up the appropriate Bible and also recall. Writing projects (including writing a research topic) are also part of the projects. Students who complete the course have three modules, one in history, one in English and one in the Bible. How is it to beat 3 birds with one stone?

This book is essential for every high school and will give them the tools to look closely at the history of the United States from a biblical point of view. If you are looking for a very good American story, look no further at the curriculum. Exploring America has filled a lot in the storytelling program for homeworkers. Exploring America is the best elementary school curriculum guide for the US history I've ever seen! I wanted it to be around me when I was in high school.
